Is Dry Needling Acupuncture?
No. Dry Needling is not based on Chinese or Eastern medicine. It was developed by a Medical Doctor to release trigger points in the muscles.
Does Dry Needling hurt?
Dry Needling causes a deep ache or twitch response that goes away quickly. Some find this uncomfortable but usually do not find it painful.
Does the ARPwave hurt?
The ARPwave is an intense electrical stimulation that causes different sensations every time it is applied. At higher levels it can be very uncomfortable but is not usually considered painful.
How much does a session cost?
We have various levels of service and cost. An initial evaluation is $90. Physical Therapy sessions run from 30 to 60 minutes and cost any where from $65 to $125.
Why are ARPwave treatments more expensive?
The machine and training were over $30,000. In order to realize return on the investment we must charge accordingly.
Do you take insurance?
We are not contracted as in network with any insurances but we now offer the service to bill your insurance directly for out of network coverage and have the check sent to you. This service requires you to pay at time of service.
Can I bill my insurance?
Yes, we will give you the appropriate codes and invoice to bill your insurance.
Will my insurance reimburse your charges?
Every insurance is different and may or may not reimburse you. It is up to you to know your plan. QP will be considered out of network in your plan.
How long are appointments?
New patient appointments are 60 minutes. Follow ups range from 30 – 50 minutes depending on the services provided.
I am seeing you for my shoulder can you treat my knee in the same session?
All treatments must involve an evaluation. Once an evaluation is performed we can treat you for multiple problems in one session. Additional treatments on additional body parts add additional cost for the session.
How many sessions will I need?
Every condition is different but on average we see clients around 10 visits for most conditions. The ARPwave involves a strict protocol of 10 visit in which most clients find significant improvement. Some continue one or two times a week for maintenance to continue to improve function.
