Technologically Advanced Physical Therapy-------------

Certified Manual Physical Therapists

Our therapists at Quantified Performance, Durango, are certified by the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. (NAIOMT) This is one of the toughest certifications in the United States which involves three levels of testing including a board examination in front of world renown senior faculty members. This education usually takes three to five years to complete with around 2000 hours of study above the normal practice. The result is a physical therapist who has the expertise to diagnose and treat the most difficult of orthopedic injuries. This means you are taken through a comprehensive examination process to rule out disease, neurological issues and other serious conditions masquerading as musculoskeletal pain. This can save you valuable time in treating the symptoms of a condition that wont respond to normal measures. We can determine quickly when an injury will respond to our treatments or should be sent to an another medical professional for another look.

This certification also means that our physical therapists are skilled in providing hands on manual treatments that are effective. We do not provide a one size fits all approach for treatment. How many times have you seen some type of medical practitioner that performs the same treatment every visit no matter what the problem? Our treatments are individualized for the stage of healing, the body part and what the person can tolerate at the time. We can not tell you what will happen during your visit until we assess your situation for that day. That is why we employ many technologies and advanced manual techniques in order to taylor your treatment for your individual needs. The NAIOMT education takes the best treatments from around the world and combines them into one system. We are not stuck with one set of tools but continue to learn new effective treatments as they become available. The NAIOMT certification is not only a measure of achievement but of a commitment to continued excellence in physical therapy.
